Some advice, if you are interested:

If you are accused of a crime and you are guilty, talk with an attorney before you waive your Miranda rights and talk with the police.  You will not convince the police to drop some or all of the charges.  You have every chance of making the case against you stronger.

If you are accused of a crime and you are NOT GUILTY, talk with an attorney before you waive your Miranda rights and talk with police.  When they say, "everything you say can be used against you," they are telling the truth, even if you are not guilty.

If you are accused of a crime, don't talk with anybody besides your attorney about what really happened.  Hearsay rules do not apply to defendants.  EVERYTHING you say to ANYBODY besides your attorney can come in at trial.
